All praise be to Almighty Allah and peace and countless blessings of Almighty Allah be upon our beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad, his companions and his family.
“It is the test of a good religion whether you can joke about it.” ― G.K. Chesterton
On January 07, 2015, several cartoonists and editors of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo had gathered in the conference room. The specialty of these people was in making mockery of political personalities through drawing cartoons. For the last decade, the magazine had concentrated its efforts trying to insult the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace and countless blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him). These people were enjoying themselves as they considered the free time given by Almighty Allah to be their victory. They were too proud of their security measures and were unaware that when Almighty Allah decides to punish, none of their helpers could come to the rescue. 7th January was the day that Almighty Allah choose to punish the culprits who had made insulting His Beloved (Peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him) their life purpose.
Just as these people were breaking jokes and having happy time, fire cracker sounds were heard nearby. No body took it seriously. After a few moments a masked gunman entered the conference room. The people too proud of their security measures still though it to be some kind of practical joke, in tradition with the magazine. The incoming man started calling cartoonists be names. An identification yes and bullets would land the body of the person. The wrath of Almighty Allah had finally descended on these people. In the span of few minutes, the editor Stephane ‘Charb’ Charbonnier , his bodyguard Officer Franck Brinsolaro, the cartoonists Bernard ‘Tignous’ Verlhac, 58, Georges Wolinski, 80, Jean ‘Cabu’ Cabut, 76 and Philippe Honore, 73 lay dead. There were 12 other people related to Charlie Hebdo who died that day. Among them two were so called Muslims. Mustapha Ourrad was born in Algeria and arrived to France at age 20. He was a copy editor for Charlie Hebdo. The 42-year-old Ahmed Merabet was a police officer of Turkish descent and was protecting the building of Charlie Hebdo.
Now who were the people Almighty Allah choose to revenge the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace and countless blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him)? These were two brave lions of Islam by the names of Saïd Kouachi and Chérif Kouachi (May Almighty Allah have mercy on them). They were real brothers born to Algerian parents in Paris. Cherif was 32 while Said was 34. Their parents died in their early childhood. Therefore they were raised in foster houses for orphan children. Both were raised up in secular settings. Cherif kouachi was a good football player and had interest for music and dance. It is said that he was influenced by the pictures of inhuman treatment of Iraqi prisoner by American soldiers in the Abu Gharib jail. He tried to go to Iraq for Jihad but was captured on airport before departure. He was kept in detention for few years and when the verdict came out for his offenses he had to be released as the jail sentence had already been completed during detention.
The two brothers stormed the Charlie Hebdo building with assault rifles and finished the enemies of Islam with military precision. The followed the path of Ghazi Mumtaz Qadri Shaheed, Ghazi Amir Cheema Shaheed and Ghazi Mohammed Bouyeri. A video shows their escape car being confronted by a police car. The history of Indian subcontinent is that the person who murders the blasphemers, voluntarily presents himself to law enforcement agencies. The brothers, however, are seen come out of their vehicle and boldly charge at police to clear the escape route. It is reported that the two brothers embraced Shahadat two days later. May Almighty Allah raise their ranks in Jannat. These brothers really payed the debt of whole Ummah. It is sad that the nonsense act of mischievous cartoonists compromised the peace of the world by publishing uncalled for insults against the most respected and most beloved personality of the humankind (Peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him). We Muslims are not happy at killing innocent persons but anyone who tries to insult the Holy Prophet Muhammd (Peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him) commits the gravest of the crimes in our eyes. Such person is not to be allowed even a second of life. That’s it. The actions of Kouachi brothers bore fruit when another Charlie Hebdo cartoonist Rénald ‘Luz’ Luzier said, “I will no longer draw Muhammad”. He had escaped his life on 7th January because of being late to the meeting. He saw the killed bodies when he entered the office. He had psychological fits after the episode and consequently left the Charlie Hebdo. The Kouachi brothers were not the last ones who laid their lives for protecting the respect of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him)
A sad part of this episode is the involvement of Muslims in the publishing of Charlie Hebdo whom we came to know about after the shootings. There were also many apologetic “Muslims” who made a hero out of Merabat Ahmed, saying he died protecting the people who mocked his religion. Mentioning him to be a true model Muslim. This is clearly against the teachings of Islam. Anyone who insults the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) he must be punished by death according to Shariah. The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) said that no one can be true Muslim until he loves me more than anything else. Where do these Muslims place themselves by mourning the death of stupid people at Charlie Hebdo? What kind of love do you have for the Holy Prophet (Peace and countless blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him). Following are the authentic hadeeth with reference from Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslima.
Narrated Anas: The Prophet said None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.
(Sahih Bukhari, Book of Faith, Hadeeth 6.)
It is reported on the authority of Anas that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said:
No bondsman believes, and, in the hadith narrated by Abdul Warith, no person believes, till I am dearer to him than the members of his household, his wealth and the whole of mankind.
(Sahih Muslim, Book of Faith, Hadeeth 69)
